Time: 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM EDT
Registration: Sorry, public registration for this event has been closed.
Event Description:
Overall health and wellness is one of the most important issues facing our 1,400 investor businesses, and this Friday Forum: Worksite Health & Wellness event will assist employers in learning more about preventive best practices, compliance issues, and health care options from health and wellness professionals. We will also have a vendor area adjacent to the forum to allow organizations aligned with the health care industry to promote their products and services.
The Friday Forum will be held Friday, June 9, 2017, from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. (with additional time from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. to meet with vendors) at Polk State College (LTB Auditorium), 3425 Winter Lake Rd, Lakeland, FL 33803.
Sponsoring the event is Tobacco Free Polk. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear from the Florida Department of Health's Director, Dr. Joy Jackson, and Tobacco Policy Manager, Juli Davis, and members of Polk Wellness Professionals. Topics of discussion include a community health update, smoke-free initiatives, and the benefits of promoting worksite wellness.

We are also inviting Chamber investors in the health industry to participate as a vendor at the Friday Forum. We have space for 30 vendor tables, so reservations will be on a first come-first served basis. The cost to participate as a vendor is $25, which provides the following:
  • Table and chairs in the vendor area (tablecloths, table skirting, etc. not included).
  • Breakfast for one representative (additional tickets are $15 each for Chamber members).
  • Access to Friday Forum attendees during registration/breakfast and after the program.
