The PIT Count determines the types of services needed for homeless programs and secures program funding and support.
HUD requires Continuums of Care to conduct this count and to collect some basic demographic information from each person counted.
We assemble teams made up of experienced service providers and community volunteers to canvass Polk County in search of unsheltered citizens experiencing homelessness and (in shifts) conduct interviews within their assigned geographic area.
