New Business 101
The Lakeland Chamber is in search of new or existing businesses in the greater Lakeland area to attend our complimentary New Business 101 Program. This program is offered free of charge will begin Thursday, February 4, 2021 and will take place each Thursday for four weeks from 9:30am-12:30pm via Zoom/in person. This program will assist new business owners in preparing their businesses for their grand openings.
You are invited to attend the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce's New Business 101 program.
The Lakeland Chamber of Commerce will host four weeks of sessions that will help businesses finalize their business plans and gain valuable information from city and county ombudsmen, bank officials, marketing professionals and local business mentors before opening their doors. All new businesses that complete the courses will receive a complimentary 6 month chamber membership (available to NEW MEMBERS only), as well as a SCORE mentor to assist them in their business venture. The course will also help new applicants by feeding them in to the chamber programs that will most benefit their prospective business.

Location
This course will be hybrid- we will have 10 spaces available in person at 35 Lake Morton Drive, Lakeland, FL 33801 (we will practice social distancing and participants will wear mask at this time, if the ordinance is adjusted we will reconsider at a later date). After registration you will be emailed the links each week if you are an online participant. Please specify in the REGISTRATION notes whether you would prefer in person or online. The first 10 that specify preference for in person will be given the opportunity. The course will be capped at 18.
Fees/Admission
Free but a $25 deposit is required to hold your spot. If you complete the course and attend all the sessions, your full deposit will be refunded. We are taking this deposit to make sure that the limited number of spots we offer are utilized by those that are willing and able to attend!
