Zoom and Vroom
The newest offering from the Polk County History Center provides YOU with the tools to get out and explore the history that surrounds us. Zoom & Vroom is a virtual program that provides registrants with the tools to create immersive learning experiences for the entire family. Each digital session features:
- A virtual history lesson with question and answer opportunities on a variety of topics
- A routed half to full day driving tour that guides you from one historic location to the next
- Interactive activities designed for all ages
- Thematic activities including crafts and recipes
- Suggested book readings to extend the learning experience
Keep your Quaranteam busy all year long! Zoom sessions are held at 11am on the 2nd Saturday of each month, additional materials can be picked up at the Polk County History Center Tuesday – Saturday between 9am and 5pm.

To participate in the live event on the 2nd Saturday of each month, contact the History Center's Curator of Education, Jayme Jamison at JaymeJamison@polk-county.net. You will be provided with the link for the Zoom presentation and then plan for materials pick-up. If you'd like to participate at your leisure each presentation will be made available at this site and on the county YouTube page. You may call the History Center at 863-534-4386 to request materials for pick-up.
